Hailing from 10,000 years into the future of Axiom Nexus, Heinrad was called into the past by Optimus Prime to help the present day TransTechs deal with the current wave of multiversal chaos caused by the destruction of Primax 207.0 Epsilon.

Knowing that the Mini-Cons' continued presence in an Aurex universe would cause unwanted ripples throughout the Multiverse, Heinrad travelled to the universe and offered them a choice: continue fighting in the endless war between the Autobots and the Decepticons or come to Axiom Nexus and gain a peaceful existence. Heinrad met with Thrustinator, whose chronal phase inherited from Starscream's immortal spark helped Heinrad master his own time travel abilities.
