The Japan-exclusive Beast Wars II toy-line took and mostly redecorated already-existing molds from previous toy lines, such as Beast Wars, Generation 2, and Masterforce. Only three characters received new toy molds: Moon, Lio Convoy and Galvatron.

Cybertrons

For the most part, the regular Cybertrons for the Beast Wars II line were repaints of Beast Wars figures which did not have characterizations in the show. In this category, only the Cybertron leader, Lio Convoy, received a newly designed figure.
Japanese ID number: C-12, VS-12
This toy is identical to B'Boom, transforming into a mandrill. his beast mode face has spring-activated features, with a spring-loaded missile launcher in his mouth. This launcher becomes a hand-held weapon in robot mode. He has a third "artillery station" mode that a Basic-sized toy can pilot. He was available both as an individual and in a two-pack with Megastorm.
A special contest-prize version of Apache in a kind of camo-green was given away as a prize from Comic Bom Bom magazine, as part of a "design a Cybertron" contest, along with new-color versions of all five main Maximals from the series. How many of these Apaches were awarded is unknown.
Japanese ID number: C-13, VS-13
This toy is a black and red redecoration of Bonecrusher, transforming into a bull. The robot mode face has has spring-activated features, with a spring-loaded missile launcher in his mouth. This launcher becomes a hand-held weapon in robot mode. He has a third "artillery station" mode that a Basic-sized toy can pilot. He was available both as an individual and in a three-pack with Starscream and BB.
A special contest-prize version of Bighorn in a gray-blue and yellow was given away as a prize from Comic Bom-Bom magazine, as part of a "design a Cybertron" contest.
Japanese ID number: C-14, VS-14
This toy is near identical to the Beast Wars' Snarl figure and transforms into a Tasmanian Devil. The toy has a 'lock and launch' gimmick which works by setting and then pulling on the figure's tail. The figure was also available in a two-pack with the Destron Dirge.
A special contest-prize version of Tasmania Kid in a blue and yellow color scheme was given away as a prize from Comic Bom-Bom magazine, as part of a "design a Cybertron" contest.
Japanese ID number: C-15, VS-15
This toy is identical to the Beast Wars' Claw Jaw toy, and sports a 'claw grabber' gimmick. The figure was also available in a two-pack with the Destron Thrust.
A special contest-prize version of Scuba in a orange and soft pink color scheme was given away as a prize from Comic Bom-Bom magazine, as part of a "design a Cybertron" contest.
Japanese ID number: C-16, VS-16
Lio Convoy transforms into a organic white lion articulated at the legs and head. In this mode, he possesses flip-out blades and missile launchers in his mane and forelegs. The mane can also spin around as 'spinning blade' attack. The robot mode of the figure strongly resembles the original Optimus Prime, including an 'energon Matrix' scuplted beneath his left chest panel. The figure was also available in a two-pack with Galvatron.
A special contest-prize version of Lio Convoy in a red and black color scheme was given away as a prize from Comic Bom-Bom magazine, as part of a "design a Cybertron" contest.
Black Lio Convoy was released as a Japanese Toys 'R' Us exclusive. And, yes, it was an 'evil clone' of the Cybertron Leader.
Flash Lio Convoy was released later as a 'powered-up' repaint, replacing the usual white plastic with a pearl version and using yellow and gold in place of the regular figure's blue and red colors.
Galvatron Lio Convoy was a special 'Lucky Draw' prize exclusive which saw the figure repainted into Galvatron's lavender and purple color scheme.
A gold-chromed version of the figure was also made available as a 'Lucky Draw' extremely rare exclusive.
Japanese ID number: X-2
Diver is a green and white recolor of Beast Wars' Spittor figure. The toy has a 'spitting tongue' gimmick (which has his robot mode head unfortunately placed at the tip of it). Diver was included with a 'Niagara Falls Base' playset.
A special contest-prize version of Diver in a pink and teal color scheme was given away as a prize from Comic Bom-Bom magazine, as part of a "design a Cybertron" contest.
Japanese ID number: X-5
The toy is a blue and cream redecoration of Claw Jaw and transforms into a squid. Both robot and beast modes make use of a 'claw grabber' gimmick, housed in the robot mode's chest. The toy was available with the Tako Tank, a larger vehicle-squid toy that could convert into a base mode.
  • Moon (Special, 1998)
Japanese ID number: S-2
Moon's original release was of a 'kawaii' robotic rabbit, based on the character from the anime, but colored in yellow. Moon could also transform into a robot mode, a skill never shown on the anime series.
Comic Bom-Bom released its own exclusive recolor of Moon, with white as the dominant toy color, to more closely match his appearance in the anime series.

Insectrons

The seven Insectrons are each redecorated figures from the Beast Wars toy line, using toys that did not get characterizaions in the Beast Wars television series. The sole exception to this is Double Punch, who was a BotCon Japan exclusive figure.

Jointrons

The Jointrons are redecorations of the three members of the Tripredacus team from Beast Wars. Unlike their American counterparts, the Jointrons were sold individually as well as in a gift set.
  • DJ (Basic, 1998)
Japanese ID number: C-23
DJ is a slight redecoration of Beast Wars' Cicadacon, and turns into a cicada. It's notable redecoration is the addition of blue-violet stripes on the top side of the insect mode. The figure forms the chest and head of Tripledacus.
Japanese ID number: C-24
Motorarm is a black and red redecoration of Beast Wars' Ram Horn, and turns into a dung beetle. It also forms the arms of Tripledacus.
Japanese ID number: C-25
Motorarm is a predominantly red redecoration of Beast Wars' Sea Clamp, and turns into a crawfish. It also forms the waist and legs of Tripledacus.
Japanese ID number: X-3
Tripledacus is a redecoration of Beast Wars' Tripredacus, sold of a gift set containing the Jointron team members Gimlet, Motorarm, and DJ.

Magnaboss

The Magnaboss team are redecorations of the three members of the Magnaboss team from Beast Wars. Unlike their American counterparts, members of this Magnaboss team were sold individually as well as a gift set.
Japanese ID number: C-26
This toy is redecoration of Beast Wars' Prowl, with a notable change being the blue-painted head, making him more reminiscent of Optimus Prime. The beast form is a Lion, and the figure also forms the main body and head of Magnaboss.
Lio Junior also enjoyed an exclusive Red and Black redecoration as well as a white redecoration included in Takara puzzle-kits. Both could still be used to form the main body of Magnaboss.
Japanese ID number: C-27
Skywarp is a slight repaint of Beast Wars' Silverbolt, with the most notable change being the silver-paint on the otherwise brown helmet. The toy has launchable missiles stowed in the wings, transforms into a bald eagle, and forms the chest and torso of Magnaboss.
Japanese ID number: C-28
Santon is a darker redecoration of Beast Wars' Ironhide, with a few more painted-on trim decorations on the main body. The figure transforms into an elephant and also the arms and legs of Magnaboss.
Japanese ID number: X-4
This is a gift-set of the three Magnaboss team members. It is largely identical to the American release, with the exception of the slightly darker shades from Ironhide and the additional painted details on the chest.

In Korea and Indonesia, Megastorm was also released as a Decepticon in the Car Robots line.

Autorollers

The Autorollers figures are redecorations of the Autorollers from the Generation Two line, including two figures that were not previously released. All four Autorollers were released as Destrons.
In Korea and Indonesia, the Autorollers also released as Decepticons in the Car Robots line.

Autostinger is a yellow and orange green redecoration of the Generation Two Dirtbag figure and transforms into a heavy loader dump trickshovel. The figure both automatically transforms and has a 'missile-firing' gimmick. The toy was also sold in a two-pack with the Insectron Bigmos.
Japanese ID number: D-18, VS-18
Autocrusher is a green and dark green redecoration of the Generation Two Roadblock figure and transforms into a heavy construction shovel. The figure both automatically transforms and has a 'disc-shooting' gimmick. The toy was also sold in a two-pack with the Insectron Powerhug.
Japanese ID number: D-19, VS-19
Autostinger is a gray and blue F-18 variant in vehicle mode. The figure both automatically transforms and has a 'missile-firing' gimmick. The toy was also sold in a two-pack with the Insectron Tonbot.
Japanese ID number: D-20, VS-20
Autolauncher is a red and white APC variant in vehicle mode. The figure both automatically transforms and has a 'disc-launcher' gimmick. The toy was also sold in a two-pack with the Insectron Mantis.
