Abe Walters

Abe Walters is a human from the Big Looker Storybook portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

We figure as the ranking trucker, Abe's the one with the hat.

Abe Walters is a trucker who makes oil deliveries in the western United States. Though it seems like it would be detrimental to his work, Abe isn't particularly observant, and wouldn't notice, say, a giant robot short-circuiting his truck.

While driving on Route 4 in Oregon, Abe's truck suffered a flat tire. He and Barry fixed it, only to discover that the truck's electrical system had mysteriously short-circuited. Unbeknownst to them, the culprit was Blitzwing — the Decepticons coveted the contents of their oil truck. While the pair were puzzling over what had happened, the truck sprang back into life courtesy of Sunstreaker. Confused but grateful, they drove off, unaware that they were being pursued by a group of angry Decepticons.

The truck was brought to a halt again by Megatron grabbing its back end. No sooner had it been seized, than Swoop appeared overhead, dropping some explosives. The blast flattened the Decepticons and caused Abe and Barry to faint. The two humans were extracted from the truck before it was destroyed by Starscream, and spirited back to the Autobots' camp, where Optimus Prime explained to them what had happened.
