Ai is a GT Sister from the Transformers GT portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Ai (アイ) is Safety Prime's GT Sister and the race coordinator of the Transformers GT. She is a patient and gentle girl who's good with children, complementing the rather strict personality of her partner. That said, her serene exterior belies a fiery zeal for justice should troublemakers intrude on their track.

Unlike her fellow GT Sisters, Ai has no toy, which is why she wears a Transformers GT-themed outfit instead of one based on a real racing team. As explained by the GT Sister story<ref>TFGT Story Setting on the Transformers GT website (archived)</ref> and shown in the final story page, this "Team TF" costume is usually reserved for when a GT Sister is in Battle Mode, so does this mean Ai is always in Battle Mode?
Ai's outfit was worn by real-life race queens Mai Nishimura (西村麻依 Nishimura Mai) and Kelal Yamamura (山村ケレール Yamamura Kerēru) during a collaboration between Transformers GT and Team Mach.<ref>Team Mach Transformers Girls on the Transformers GT website (archived)</ref>
Ai is both named after and derived from the original Ai from the Car Robots franchise, so much so that her earliest drafts are quite literally a [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}race queen|{{#if:||race queen}}]]-ified version of her outfit.
Ai gets her own bio in Safety Prime's Town Commander profile, rendering her, like him, a crossover character with the Cybertron Satellite promotion.<ref>Safety Prime toy bio.</ref> Whether that makes her a Town Co-Commander or some kind of Town Lieutenant remains unclear.
Either way, the biology of GT Sisters dictates she is pretty unambiguously the living manifestation of his ~~Town~~ Circuit Matrix.
