Andrew Hall is a long-standing member of the online fandom under the screen name Hydra. He previously worked for Part One, the Japanese company that owns e-HOBBY, first as a professional translator, then later as a content planner primarily responsible for planning new exclusives and projects for e-HOBBY. During this time, he also wrote bios and stories for TakaraTomy, along with bi-lingual articles for the online e-HOBBY Magazine, and ran e-HOBBY's Twitter account.
Hall left Part One in 2013, and in 2014, founded his own company, Phase Six Inc. (usually rendered as "PHASE6"), with the goal of making new creative collaboration possible between Japan and other countries. The company has handled the art production for projects such as the 2014 BotCon and Transformers Collectors' Club comics, introducing the art of Japanese creators Naoto Tsushima and Hayato Sakamoto to the west.

Notes
[edit]- Hall's screen name was taken from the Super-God Masterforce character of the same name. When designing Animated Hydra, Derrick J. Wyatt made the character an homage to both Masterforce Hydra and Hall, incorporating Hall's tall, skinny build and pompadour haircut.
- He credits Rik Alvarez for his "incredible help" with the Arms Micron bios, which had to be written before the characters made any appearances; Alvarez helped him get background info.<ref>Allspark forums: "In his defense, Rik was of incredible help to me while I was working on the bios for the Arms Micron toys.
Many needed to be written before the characters appeared in the shows, so he gave me a lot of background info that helped me reflect the show."</ref>
- Doubt not his credentials! Hall won the BotCon 1999 and BotCon Japan 2000 trivia contests!
- He is very tall.
