Anti-rad armor

Protects the wearer from being told about the Traaaaaaaaaaansformers.

Anti-rad armor is armor designed by Cybertronians to protect the wearer from excessive radiation. The older variations look kinda frightening if you're on something.

2005 IDW continuity

Anti-rad armor was used by Prowl in the early phases of the war when he visited Mesothulas' workshop, as the facility was surrounded by a radiation moat. Sins of the Wreckers issue 3 When Prowl had Impactor dispose of Mesothulas by throwing him into the Noisemaze, the Wrecker used the same armor to enter the scientist's base, and kept it on, leading to Mesothulas believing it was Prowl who had attacked him. The Autobot Kup was stranded on a deserted planet which was teeming with radiation, which slowly ate away at the old 'bot's mind, causing him to go crazy. Springer sent wave after wave of Autobots to the planet wearing antique anti-rad armor to protect them from the planet's radiation. Unfortunately, their suits, coupled with Kup's delusional state, caused the old 'bot to believe his rescuers were demonic entities come to kill him, and he slaughtered each wave of Autobots.
