While pursuing the humans Cliff Dietz and Spike Witwicky through a ski resort, Snarler fired an explosive shell from his rotary cannon at them, but missed. Carnivac then fired a "freeze beam" at them, but it was blocked by a tree. The Man in the Machine!

As identified in his instructions and bio, Carnivac came with a brown anti-thermal cannon accessory that can be used as a hand-held weapon or mounted on the shell's back.
