The Arclight traveled to Earth to refuel, as the Autobots had stockpiled vast amounts of energon on Earth during the war on Cybertron. However, the Autobots were ambushed by the Decepticons and the Leviathan destroyed the Arclight. With the ship torn apart, its surviving crew members took to the escape pods and crashed into the planet. The debris of the Arclight showered over the North America continent. Energon from the ship's exploding fuel cells fused with meteoroids, causing Meteor Storms. Transformers Universe
