Assistant Corps
Constructed in secret by Primus's "pet" Primacron to aid in his emancipation in the ancient universe of the Seven Lights, the Assistant Corps (助手軍団 Joshu Gundan) may very well be the legendary scientist's first foray into the creation of artificial life.

[edit]Horrified by the dark future for himself he scried with the power of the Black Legendisc while searching for a way to curtail the Vok menace, Primus made the mistake of relating his vision to his sapient "pet" (read:slave) Primacron. Emboldened by the tale of his future glories, Primacron summoned the Assistant Corps in a bid for freedom. The apes succeeded in their righteous mission.
Later, Primacron summoned the Assistant Corp to distract Grimlock and Primus's other Primitives long enough for him to activate Neo Primus. They prevailed there too. Two for two, these little guys. Finale Prelude

- Apeface (Titan Master, 2016)

- Part of the second wave of Titans Return Titan Masters, Apeface can transform from a small robot into an toy-based Apeface head compatible with any Deluxe-or-larger Titans Return figure. He is packaged with a gorilla accessory which Apeface can ride in robot mode, and which can also transform into a 5 mm post gun for larger figures to wield, or combine with Apeface to form a jet. Apeface, the gorilla, and their combined jet form are based on Apeface's original Generation 1 robot, gorilla, and jet modes respectively.
- As with all Titan Master vehicle accessories, care must be taken with the gun mode's handle: the handle fits tightly in many 5 mm-compatible closed hands, and combined with the handle's lack of metal pin running through the joint, removing it by force causes the handle to pop out of the joint.
- Apeface was reissued for the fifth wave of Titan Masters alongside Ptero, Overboard, and the new Ramhorn.
- His vehicle was redecoed as Legends Weirdwolf's Rarigo accessory and again as Convobat's Ape X Arms accessory.

- Available with the Legends Weirdwolf figure, Rarigo is a redeco of Titans Return Apeface's accessory, in Weirdwolf's colors. The Headmaster form of Weirdwolf can ride Rarigo in robot mode. Rarigo can also transform into a 5 mm gun for larger Titans Return or any Legends Headmaster figures to wield, or combine with the Headmaster to form a jet.

[edit]- The Assistant Corps is a reference to Primacron's assistant, the humiliating fate awaiting Primus in the universe to come.
- The whistle Primacron uses to control his Assistant Corps originated in the chronologically later story "Controverse," where it granted him control of the Sharkticons and other Primitive Transformers.
- As Ape X Arms exists in the same universe as the orange assistant, it's unclear if the former was created in the likeness of the latter by Straxus.
