A degenerative disease, atrophosia is similar to Cybercrosis but is brought about by contact with organic lifeforms.

[edit]Roughly ten million years prior to 2018, the Knights of Cybertron, the first explorers to leave Cybertron, travelled the galaxy only to discover that most aliens were organic.
