Starscream formed the Badgeless to maintain order among the population of Metroplex. With their identities masked by identical color schemes and face-concealing helmets, the Badgeless were able to keep the peace while remaining safe from public aggression. Windblade vol. 1 #3

When Swindle and Menasor traveled through Metroplex's spacebridge to rampage on Caminus, Starscream deployed a squad of aerial Badgeless officers to stop them. Though they had little success against the combiner until Superion arrived, one Badgeless officer successfully apprehended Swindle for Starscream's secret agenda. The Sum and Its Parts Possibly the same officer or another one was on duty as Swindle was incarcerated in Starscream's secret prison on Cybertron. The Possible Light

After Optimus Maximus helped to quell Devastator and Menasor's rampage, he willingly separated into his component 'bots. Several Badgeless officers then took Prowl into custody. All That Remains

When a riot nearly broke out between Decepticons and Camiens over the Decepticons' use of energy from Metroplex, Windblade urged Chromia to settle things peacefully before the Badgeless could arrive. Later, two Badgeless officers were on duty guarding Metroplex's spacebridge chamber. They refused access to Windblade's party, citing the need for official permission from Starscream, but Rattrap arrived and used his authority (behind Starscream's back) to get Windblade's party in so that they could travel to Velocitron. Windblade vol. 2 #4

A Badgeless was guarding the Enigma of Combination with Ironhide. Chromia arrived to replace Ironhide for a shift, and shortly after, the officer was knocked out by Arcee. Chromia eventually returned with the Enigma and woke the guard, telling him that she drove off the attacker. When he wanted to report the incident to Starscream, Chromia pointed out how it would look bad for the guard if he did. An Uneventful Night

One hapless Badgeless tried to take prisoners at a Decepticon bar but Arcee took him hostage before the situation could blow up. She visited Starscream, warning him that the secret police would only undermine his society and could not be trusted to be loyal to him. The Badgeless was, in fact, loyal, but Arcee butchered him in front of Starscream anyway. The Transgressors

While Starscream attempted to awe Elita One by listing off some of his accomplishments, a pair of "Badgeless" were shown flanking him, representing his grip over Cybertron. The Will of the Few

You can see why the surviving Badgeless celebrated Chosen One Day by giving thanks they weren't dead! Choose Me

When Strafe, Swift, and Barricade went on a mission into the wilderness, the Dinobots (hired as their muscle) snitched on them to the Badgeless. Slug was pretty sure the three would all be killed on sight. When he learned the mission was to plant new sparks in Alyon, Slug dropped the scam and led the Dinobots in killing the Badgeless before they could see the other three. The Badgeless would make a further attack but fail once more. Being cop killers would mean the Dinobots could never return to Metroplex and Swift had to pretend they'd kidnapped her when the Badgeless's reinforcements showed up. Redemption

Mounting distrust in the Badgeless boiled over when a mysterious killer began to kill various Decepticons, with many suspecting that the Badgeless themselves were responsible for the attacks. Blast Off managed to acquire some illegally-obtained Badgeless equipment, successfully disguising himself as one of them by abusing their anonymity. Following this, he ambushed one from a dark alley and assumed their identity. A pair of Badgeless got in the way of Ironhide as he was apprehending a rowdy drunk 'Con, with the drunk attacking an officer, punching them whilst yelling "Swindle Lives!" This caused the two Badgeless to shove him to the ground and attempt to detain him, mentioning how they were going to comb through his head to find more info on the Swindle situation. Unfortunately, this caused the drunk to freak out, escaping capture and running away. The two Badgeless held Ironhide back as Blast Off took the opportunity to blast the fleeing drunk, blowing out his back and a chunk of his head, killing him, with the Badgeless insisting to Ironhide that it was self-defense. Following this, a crowd of outraged citizens began to berate the collective of Badgeless for killing an unarmed civillian. Amidst the commotion, Blast Off snuck away. The remaining Badgeless, mobbed by an increasingly angry crowd, began to panic and fire into the mob, causing the situation to devolve into total chaos, with civilians fearing for their lives. The entire snafu was caught on camera, permanently staining the Badgeless' reputation.07:00:00

After killing the 'Con, Blast Off shed his disguise, allowing the chaos to unfold. The incident was lambasted by the news, and the Badgeless continued to fight rioters in the streets for the remainder of the night. The next morning, the riots continued, with several unhappy civilians (and Onslaught and Blast Off) storming the capital. Under Ironhide's command, the Badgeless were told to hold their fire no matter the cost to prevent another bloodbath. After many protestors voiced their concerns, Ironhide offered to reform the Badgeless under his leadership as a more open force. While many continued to criticize the Badgeless, several other ex-Decepticons agreed to join, including Sparkstalker, the Tankors, and Blast Off (who had ulterior motives). Applicable Skills

An unfortunate member of the Badgeless was put on trial for the supposed serial murder of ex-Decepticons, an accusation the suspect vehemently denied. Starscream watched the trial unfold despite knowing that the real perpetrator of the crime was his own accomplice, Airachnid. The accused Badgeless claimed self-defence, as his partner (who was secretly Blast Off in disguise) was the one who opened fire first, with him simply following suit. Unfortunately for him, Starscream declared him guilty anyway to appease the people. Heavy
