Wheeljack's rocket pack doesn't go as planned.

Synopsis

[edit]

On Cybertron, Wheeljack unveils his latest invention to Optimus Prime and Bumblebee: a multi-functional jetpack! When Prime takes the contraption for a test drive, he's impressed by its on-board music player... but when it begins to rain, Wheeljack discovers that deploying the jetpack's built-in umbrella interferes with the jetpack's aerodynamics. Wheeljack reveals that the jetpack can also turn into a massage chair... but when the massage chair suddenly activates its rocket engines and blasts off with Prime still strapped in, Wheeljack and Bumblebee have no choice but to give chase!

Notes

[edit]
  • This comic was published in the April 2021 issue of TV Magazine and advertised the War for Cybertron Trilogy Wheeljack and Nemesis Prime toys.
  • It was re-run as the first January 2022 issue of the web comic, again advertising Wheeljack's War for Cybertron Trilogy toy.
  • The web comic proceeded to "double ship" with two re-runs a month until it burned through the print comic backlog in May 2022.

Transformers references

[edit]
  • Wheeljack debuts here with a body based, naturally, on the War for Cybertron Trilogy toy being advertised, albeit with the grim'n'gritty battle damage swapped for a squeaky clean cartoon-inspired color scheme more akin to Earthrise Wheeljack.
