Big Transformers

Big Transformers (BIGトランスフォーマー Biggu Toransufōmā) was a line of candy toys produced by Kabaya during Legends of the Microns. The series consisted of eight non-transforming PVC figurines, sold in two waves of four and packaged with fizzy "Ramune" candy. In keeping with the general theme of Armada/Legends of the Microns, interchangeability was the overriding gimmick of Big Transformers, with every figure coming packaged with either their Mini-Con partner or a removable weapon that could connect to the other figures in the series.

Wave 1 was released in March 2003. Super Mode Prime, Megatron and Hot Shot each came with their Mini-Con partners, which could attach to any of the various ports on the different figures, while standard mode Prime was armed with his large "Convoy Gun", which either Hot Shot or Super Mode Prime could hold. Additionally, Hot Shot and Megatron featured their characteristic weapons—Hot Shot's "axelzooka" could be removed from its storage position on his back and re-attached pointing over his head, while Megatron's turret could be fastened to his chest to recreate his "Full Burst Mode".

The second wave, released in August 2003, brought Prime and Megatron's combination partners and the three Mini-Con weapons into the mix: Jet Convoy (the combined form of Prime and Jetfire) had no accessories, while Jetfire came with his own gun, shield and the Skyboom shield. Burning Megatron (the combined form of Tidal Wave and Megatron) came with the Star Saber, and Tidal Wave came with the Requiem Blaster, all three of which could be held by any of the figures.
