On Christmas Eve, Bill and his family were on their way to Midville Town Square to see the Christmas tree lights be turned on. En-route, they crossed paths with Bumblebee and Tracks, in hot pursuit of Soundwave and Laserbeak for attempting to steal electricity from a nearby power plant. In their escape, the Decepticons shot down a tree, its fall busting up the Perrys' car pretty badly!

Bumblebee came to the family's aid, and drove them into town so they could deliver the presents they had in hand for the needy. He also stuck around to power the lights for the Christmas tree himself, as the powerlines that would normally supply it had been destroyed by the Decepticons.
