Blown Kiss of Death

The Blown Kiss of Death (死の投げキス Shi no Nage Kisu) is one of Scylla's signature attacks. It involves her blowing a kiss that becomes charged with plasma energy and keeps going until it hits a target and explodes. This plasma energy grenade takes the shape of a pair of lips crackling with energy.

Horrified by Bighorn's lovestruck attempts to reach her, Scylla tried to forcefully dissuade him with Scylaser. When that did not work and he did not get the hint, she blew him a Kiss of Death, which he saw as a sign of affection and went out of his way to jump into with puckered lips. It exploded in his face and while he still did not get the hint, he was too injured to continue his pursuit. The Tentacular Scuba To underscore her charms and get back at Terrormander for being mean to Halfshell, Scylla blew Terrormander a weak Kiss of Death. Showdown in the Sea After getting beaten up by Bighorn, Scylla took revenge by blasting him with Scylaser and finishing him with a Blown Kiss of Death. Face the Setting Sun On an asteroid, a Nemesis-controlled Scylla fought Skywarp. She opened with Blown Kiss of Death and he parried with his Sky Missiles. Generations Selects Special Comic

The Angolmois Energy-powered Scylla went to the Yellow Planet to rob Yellow Splendid Convoy of her Matrix Gauntlet. Her strategy was to present herself as an ally, what with her being a yellow-colored woman too, and then when the defense was down to launch a flurry of Blown Kisses of Death. Notes

• If you think an explosive pair of lips flying through the sky is a bit outré for an attack in Transformers, you are not alone. The Blown Kiss of Death is the only time in the Beast Wars II cartoon that the action pauses so that the narrator can explain what is happening.
• The Blown Kiss of Death is one of the handful of Beast Wars II weapons and attacks which name utilizes Japanese instead of all-English, giving it a more intimate feel.
• The look of the Blown Kiss of Death is modeled after Scylla's mechasquid lips and is originally only used when she is in mechabeast mode, making it equally possible the attack is due to her choice of lipstick, which she applies in "The Tentacular Scuba", as it is due to an innate ability. What with her using the attack in battle mode in the Generations Selects Special Comic, it's more likely the latter.
• In "Face the Setting Sun", the Blown Kiss of Death is depicted with Scylla's fangs. This is probably an animation error but she is also a lot angrier there than on other occasions.
