Bludgeon is a Decepticon from the Cyberverse continuity family.
"Lucky you. About to be killed by a legend."

Bludgeon is a bot of very few words. None at all, in fact. However, he's happy to let his sword do the talking as it slices through any opposing Autobot...or Decepticon, should they ever cross him.

Millions of years ago, Bludgeon and some other Deceptions bore witness to Soundwave's and Soundblaster's beatboxing battle at Maccadam's.The Immobilizers

Millions of years later on Earth, Bludgeon was among the Decepticons who attended Starscream's memorial. Slipstream later approached him as he was practicing, asking if he'd seen any of her Seeker subordinates. She left in frustration when his only reply was stoic silence and slicing up a training dummy. When the Autobot Hot Rod was fleeing the Nemesis, Bludgeon unsuccessfully attempted to ambush him, but the Autobot managed to evade his sword strike and flee before Bludgeon was able to follow up. When Megatron and Optimus Prime agreed to a meeting to discuss allying in order to face the threat of a Starscream armed with both the AllSpark and Vector Sigma, Bludgeon was present aboard the Nemesis when it arrived at the location of the Ark. He was witness when Slipstream approached Soundwave and came under attack when Soundwave accused her of treason. Slipstream managed to knock Soundwave out briefly and limp away as Bludgeon ominously observed things from underneath the Nemesis's landing ramp. When Slipstream managed to convince Windblade that she had actual, genuine information about Starscream, Windblade was about to escort her to meet with Optimus and Megatron when Bludgeon suddenly ran the Seeker through from behind. Goading Windblade into attacking, Bludgeon instigated a battle between both sides that ruined the peace talks. Parley

As the Decepticons attempted to track Starscream down, Shadow Striker tasked Bludgeon with finding a weakness to his army of monstrosities. Bludgeon subsequently discovered they were completely vulnerable to being sliced into pieces. As soon as he was finished, he was confronted by Windblade, eager to avenge Slipstream and how she was killed by a cowardly strike from behind. Despite Windblade's best efforts, Bludgeon overpowered her and was about to finish her off when Wheeljack, having just escaped after being kidnapped by Shockwave, blasted him with a Mega Magnetizer that disrupted his movements, then sent him floating helplessly into the air with an anti-gravity modulator. Bludgeon eventually recovered from the incident and made his way back to Cybertron in time to ambush Windblade and Teletraan-X as they found Vector Sigma, managing to slice up the drone before battling Windblade. Battle For Cybertron III Unfortunately, he failed to notice Wheeljack spraying Vector Sigma with weaponized unspace material. Once Windblade destroyed his sword, she kicked him towards Vector Sigma in remembrance of Slipstream. Getting sucked into the unspace goo, Bludgeon wound up trapped between universes with no way of ever returning. Battle For Cybertron IV

Released in the seventh wave of Cyberverse One-Step Changers under the Bumblebee Cyberverse Adventures branding, Bludgeon transforms from tank to robot and back in a single step, the tank-to-robot conversion triggered by pushing his rear treads together to form his legs. His tank mode is an oddity for featuring no rolling wheels whatsoever, meaning he can't roll, so, yannow, don't.
Bludgeon features a "Whirlwind Slash" action attack, activated by pulling out his left hand, letting you kind of spin his hand around while he holds his sword. Due to the fact he only has articulation in his elbows, this motion barely clears the front of his chest. One of the very few One-Step Changers with an added accessory, his sword can store in a rectangular slot on top of his tank mode.
Bludgeon is also one of very few modern toys to feature a sculpted insignia.
Along with a few Cyberverse figures, Bludgeon was meant to be released in the Japanese market by TakaraTomy, under the designation "TCV-29 Turbo Change Bludgeon" with a February 28, 2020 release date. Unfortunately, that release was canceled due to the toyline's poor sales.

  • Bludgeon's design is a stylized version of his Aligned counterpart's Robots in Disguise toy.
  • The Japanese dub of Cyberverse is the only one to give Bludgeon a voice, with all other foreign-language versions remaining silent as in the original English.
