Bob Smith (July 17, 1927, Pasadena, California–October 10, 2008) was a storyboard artist. He served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1947, and afterward attended the Couinard Art Institute to begin a career in fine art painting. Some of his work now hangs in the Smithsonian.<ref>Interview with Carlisle Cooper</ref> For 14 years, he also worked as an art instructor at Ventura College. In the 80s, he became involved in animation, primarily as a layout artist, but also as a storyboard artist. Shows he worked on included the Smurfs, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Muppet Babies as well as a string of video shorts titled Adventures in Odyssey, all while living on a sailboat in the Ventura West Marina.<ref>The 32 Foot Floating Art Studio</ref> His full name was Robert Alan Smith.
