Borer lost most of his limbs during Overlord's rampage on the Lost Light and was taken to the temporary triage center set up at Swerve's. No Guns, No Swords, No Briefcases

Borer attended a meeting of the Lost Light's crew called by Rodimus to celebrate the fact that they had achieved something—more than six months after setting off from Cybertron for the second time, they had finally caught up to Thunderclash's ship, the Vis Vitalis. They were invited aboard to attend a "pre-wake" for the legendary Autobot hero, who had succumbed to his injuries and was lying at death's door. The Sensuous Frame

Once aboard the Vis Vitalis, Borer—along with his friends Skater and Flex—deduced that Thunderclash had been infected by parasitic personality ticks from Marasma, brought on board by Firestar and her crew. Realising that enough concentrated charisma in one place would cause the creatures to overload and self-destruct, they called Rodimus and Megatron over from the Lost Light and saved the day.
