Mudflap accidentally crashed through the CN Tower during his arrival on Earth. Skids laughed off his fears that he'd damaged something critical; the humans would have to be really primitive to still be relying on radio communications. Dogfight!

2005 IDW continuity

Shockwave surveyed the Maximal attack on Toronto from atop the CN Tower, Road's End later refitting the building into a Cybertronian communications relay to make contact with the Titan Nemesis.
