G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers

Calandero was negotiating with the arms dealer Destro in regards to purchasing 400 S.N.A.K.E. mechs for Cuba's use. Though Destro agreed to have eight of the machines delivered early, he refused to haggle the price as low as Calandero would like. Unfortunately for both of them, the S.N.A.K.E.s were built using Cybertronian technology, and were quickly targeted by a team of Autobots on a mission to keep such technology out of human hands. Calandero promptly found himself used as a human shield by his unscrupulous business partner Destro, but was saved by Cosmos when the masked man was distracted by Prowl and Sideswipe. Cosmos brought him away from danger, but assured him that authorities were on the way to get him and gave him some friendly advice about not buying illegal weaponry in the future. Calandero was presumably arrested and brought to justice afterwards. Black Horizon, Part 1 of 2
