Camila is a (presumably deceased) human from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Hiding in plain sight is the entire point of a ninja.

Camila was an employee of Onyx who acted as a lab assistant to Garrison Blackrock. The stealing of her identity by a notorious ninja probably doesn't bode well for her continued health.

Camila assisted Garrison Blackrock in researching the Talisman, taking notes and monitoring experiments conducted by the eccentric Cybertronian hybrid on the mystical device. When the forces of Baron Ironblood attacked the facility, she shed a holographic disguise, revealing that "Camila" was in fact Storm Shadow, stabbing Blackrock through the chest before joining with the assaulting force.
