I hope this isn't a dumb question, but how are Japanese names sorted using the {{DEFALULTSORT:}} template, lastname first? - Starfield 22:01, 25 March 2009 (EDT)

Since I'm not good with Japanese names, so we are treating Japanese article names and their default sort in the western manner? Eg, they will be categorised by their surname. --FFN 22:36, 25 March 2009 (EDT)

We present all names in first name, last name order (as opposed to the Asian last name, first name order) and we categorize by surname, yes. I use commas in the thingy ({{DEFAULTSORT:Araki, Yoshihisa}}), but I don't think it really matters that much. —Interrobang 01:23, 26 March 2009 (EDT)
