Charles Nicholas Wojtkoski (December 6, 1921 - June 21, 1985) aka Charles Nicholas was an American comic artist. At around the age of 19, he created the superhero [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Blue Beetle|{{#if:||Blue Beetle}}]], though was forced to sell the rights to the character before serving in World War II. Following the war, he worked extensively at Timely Comics (predecessor to Marvel Comics) and then at Charlton Comics with Vince Alascia. Following the collapse of Charlton, Wojtkoski provided art for [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Cracked|{{#if:||Cracked}}]] and for several Transformers books for Marvel.

  • Wojtkoski was one of three artists to be credited as "Charles Nicholas", the other two being Chuck Cuidera and Jack Kirby.
  • Wojtkoski may be the first person to directly work on the entire Transformers franchise to pass away.
