Chromia is an Autobot from the Animated continuity family.

High up in the commerce guild, Chromia is a forensic accountant who reports to guild boss Decimus Quadrillions. She's harder than nails and gives any Autobot who crosses her a thorough auditing. She has an interest in collecting Furnacian pottery, and we suppose she must like a drink now and then, since Maccadam's Old Oil House features her picture on its menu.

Chromia was among the shocked bystanders who observed the destructive outcome of Cheetor's high-speed chase after Ransack and Crumplezone. Moving Violations

Chromia was later part of the huge crowd gathered at the former Decepticon Gladiatorial Arena in order to catch The Motor Master's Stunt Convoy show on its opening (and ultimately, closing) night performance. The Stunti-Con Job

Chromia must have been very popular at Maccadam's Old Oil House, as she was pictured on their menu. The AllSpark Almanac II

Transformers Cards

[edit]
Sega teases the hell out of the Animated fans.
  • Chromia
    • Card number: A-007
Part of the Transformers Cards series used in the Transformers Animated: The Chase and Transformers Animated: The Shooting arcade card-reading games, Chromia is rendered as a blue-and-white version of Arcee.
There are three versions of the Chromia card: the initial card has a Photoshopped image of the Arcee toy, but versions 2.0 and 3.0 use the in-game graphics of the character with different backgrounds. The cards were available in packs of 5.

Notes

[edit]
  • As you can probably tell from the images on this page, Chromia bounced around between a bunch of different designs in a way Animated characters usually didn't. She made her debut in 2010, when The AllSpark Almanac II featured a headshot of her drawn by Bill Forster and based on the original Generation 1 Chromia. But in a fun coincidence, right around the same time, a separate design was independently created for the Transformers Cards line in Japan, which rendered her as simply a blue recolour of Animated Arcee, but with a pink face. A year later, in 2011, Animated art director Derrick J. Wyatt produced his own version of Chromia for BotCon 2011 (see right); like the Cards version, he made her a blue version of Arcee (but with a blue face), as part of his efforts to create new characters that the convention could easily turn into toys. This didn't happen, so a few years later, in 2015, Wyatt created another Chromia design, this time based off her original incarnation, to replace Forster's illustration for the The Complete Allspark Almanac. However, his earlier blue-face-Arcee design was also included in the same book!
  • Chromia's cards in the third edition of The Chase and The Shooting indicate that Bulkhead is an ideal partner for her in the cooperative 2-player arcade games. Bulkhead happens to be named Ironhide in Japan. Aheh.
