Circuit boosters are a type of Cybertronian narcotics, of which the most notorious is Syk.

2005 IDW continuity

On the 4th chord of 4th cycle 501, Drift was out of his mind on circuit boosters in an alleyway in the Dead End of Rodion when he was set upon by Sonic and Boom. He was rescued by Orion Pax and saved from overdosing by Ratchet. Post Hoc Impactor referred to Springer as his "little green circuit booster". Zero Point
