Clemency

Clemency is a planet in the Kol System.

2005 IDW continuity

The Autobots and Decepticons fought over Clemency during the war. In the second cycle 1874, Megatron chose the planet as the location on which to activate the Nightmare Engine. Ultra Magnus directed his troops (including Shock, Ore, Cromar and the Powerdashers, and the Jumpstarters) to disable the device, and rescue Pious Maximus from an unspecified self-inflicted doom. Before Magnus himself could take further action, a squadron of K-Class Decepticons began raining down on them, including Fulcrum and Torque—the latter of whom was specifically gunning for Magnus. After the battle, the Autobots gathered their dead, but the Decepticons left the corpses of their fallen scattered across the planet. The "Scavengers", a band of loose Decepticons consisting of Crankcase, Spinister, Misfire, Flywheels, and Krok returned to Clemency after the war. The band tried to scavenge from a robot they thought was dead, only to find out it was not quite as much so as they thought. At first fearing a zombie, they found out that the robot was Fulcrum, having survived own suicide bombing during the war, and brought him up to speed with recent events.

Later, the group, Fulcrum included, discovered a P-6 Worldsweeper that crashed on the planet at some point. The ship turned out to contain malformed, aborted protoforms, bleeding rooms coated in skin, disembodied brain modules, a strange kind of wooden robot, and a stasis pod containing Grimlock. While investigating they were contacted by the Decepticon Justice Division, who were searching for a target among the ones present. Rules of Disengagement

The Scavengers defied the D.J.D., causing a battle between the two groups to break out near the Worldsweeper, but the Justice Division ended up retreating to hunt down a more high-profile target. The surviving Scavengers subsequently left Clemency with Grimlock, but eighteen months later the fabled Necrobot would arrive on the planet to record the death of their comrade Flywheels.
