Clifford is the dim-witted assistant of Big Steve Ludwig at Big Steve's Used Cars, charged with such unethical tasks as rolling back the odometers of cars on Ludwig's lot.

Clifford was sent by Big Steve to modify a car that was about to be sold, but noticed the Throttlebots, who had hid themselves in the car lot, and took a radio he took a shine to out of one of the vehicles. Clifford asked Big Steve if he could keep it, and Big Steve allowed him to, taking it out of Clifford's paycheck.

In an attempt to turn over the Transformers for a reward, Big Steve sent Clifford to buy several cases of soda to be poured into the Throttlebots' gas tanks. In his typically "slow" fashion, Clifford initially assumed that Big Steve was just going to drink all that soda himself. Have we mentioned yet that Clifford just wasn't very bright? Used Autobots
