No, there's nothing wrong with killer robots from Venus. They always mow their lawn and they joined the PTA.

Cogs are the frontline foot soldiers of the Machine Empire, subservient to generals such as Prototype Tezzla. Although they're stoic, tireless warriors with the ability to fire powerful optic blasts, they are afraid of dogs and other canids.

Among the identical ranks of the Cogs exist a distinct group of advanced "Prototype Cogs"; three or more can merge into a larger robot simply known as "The Machine".

A group of Prototype Cogs trailed Prototype Tezzla to Earth, and came into the employ of the Unforgettable Alliance. The Cogs joined their leaders in Homestead as they ransacked a warehouse owned by Sabhaman's Otherworldly Curiosities and attempted to steal a G.I. Joe Cargo Caterpillar. When a group of Autobots, Joes, and Power Rangers intervened, the Cogs attempted to escape back to their scrapyard headquarters. Memories and Salvation

Notes

[edit]
  • Depending on the various choices the players take and the outcome of certain combat encounters—for instance, if they apprehend the Cogs before they make it back to the scrapyard—it is possible that they may never encounter The Machine; alternately, they may only fight The Machine instead of the adventure's intended final boss, Unforgettatron.
  • "The Machine" is an original Renegade creation, and is not directly inspired by a piece of Power Rangers media; it likely owes its existence to a need to come up with a second Transformer-scaled threat in case the aforementioned scenario plays out. As for the odd name... "cogs in the machine", get it?
