Cree Summer

She's like Frank Welker level of "everywhere".

Cree Summer (born Cree Summer Francks on July 7, 1969) is an American voice actress, and one of the most prolific in the business. She is best known for roles such as the original Penny on Inspector Gadget, Elmyra on Tiny Toons, Hyena on Gargoyles, Susie Charmichael on Rugrats and All Grown Up, Princess Kida in Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Foxxy Love on Drawn Together, Numbuh 5 on Codename Kids Next Door, Ace on Dinotrux and as the voice of the Green M&M. She also voiced Medusa in Kid Icarus Uprising, an awesome game that no one plays. Pity.

In non-cartoon roles, she was "Freddie" on A Different World for four seasons, released an album with friend Lenny Kravitz, and voiced Kermit the Frog's mother in Kermit's Swamp Years.

Notes

[edit]
  • Cree Summer had this to say on her experience as a voice actress: "I was an only child for 10 years, I didn't start school until 8, and I didn't have a TV for years. So I found all these voices when playing with my toys. They're really my toys' voices. Schizophrenia comes in handy."<ref>http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0838588/bio</ref>
  • She is the sister of Rainbow Francks, a former cast member of Stargate Atlantis, which in turn was a spinoff of Stargate SG-1, on which Garry Chalk was a semi-regular, portraying Colonel Chekov. Small world, huh?
  • Her father [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Don Francks|{{#if:||Don Francks}}]] was the first actor to play Boba Fett in the infamous [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}The Star Wars Holiday Special|{{#if:Star Wars Holiday Special|Star Wars Holiday Special|The Star Wars Holiday Special}}]].<ref>http://www.nerf-herders-anonymous.net/DonFrancks.html</ref>
