Crush-A

Crush-A is an automaton from the Transformers Animated continuity family.
You can't see me!

{{#ifeq: ||}} This character has no official visual representation in any Transformers product or media... yet, at least.

Crush-A is part of Detroit's army of robot workers. He is a Site Clearance Specialist, which presumably means he's in demolition. Ordinarily Crush-A would be helpful and placid, but with the addition of Megatron augmentation circuitry, Crush-A becomes one rowdy customer. His squat body and massive arms are carried around by caterpillar treads. His voice is loud enough to make a building shake.

Quest for the AllSpark

[edit]

When Megatron took control of Detroit's robot workforce, he upgraded Crush-A with a rudimentary intelligence and sent the 'bot to the Detroit City Art Gallery where Bulkhead was hiding a box. Crush-A managed to get hold of the box, which contained either the AllSpark or one of four phonies. Before he could get away, he was attacked by Bumblebee, who joined Bulkhead in taking the clearance 'bot down. The two Autobots checked the box, and established that the AllSpark it contained was one of the fakes, at which point Crush-A disappeared in a flash of light.

Crush-A's next target was Optimus Prime. Though he managed to wrest the Autobot leader's box away, he was soon faced by all five Autobots. He managed to hold his own until it was noticed that he seemed to be growing stronger by absorbing the power of their attacks. Bumblebee hooked his stingers into the building's power supply, amplifying them to the point where he could overload Crush-A's power reserves and disable the 'bot. While Ratchet examined Crush-A's augmented circuits, Prime revealed that all five of the boxes had contained fake AllSparks. Quest for the AllSpark

Notes

[edit]
  • In one path through the book, Crush-A turns out to be controlled not by Megatron, but by a human named Doctor Cornelius Lighthouse, in which case his intelligence would appear to have been as the result of Lighthouse's operation rather than any innate brainpower.
