Crustation rifle

The Seacon Skalor wields dual crustation rifles. One rifle fires a gooey, nasty adhesive, while the second one sprays metal shards. Combined, the target is covered in a sticky, crunching coat of slime and shrapnel that can quickly lock up joints and immobilize a foe.

Toys

[edit]

The Transformers

[edit]
  • Skalor (Seacon, 1988)
  • Accessories: left & right dual crustation rifles, tripod rifle, connector, weapon stand base
The Transformers Skalor came with two weapons, identified as dual crustation rifles in his instructions and packaging bio, which he could hold in robot mode, or which can be mounted on his fish mode back on opposite sides of his dorsal fin. Skalor could also combine with his weapons to form a corrosive slime-shooter.
This toy was also available in a Piranacon giftset and was released concurrently in Japan as Super-God Masterforce Gulf. The mold was redecoed and released without accessories as Terrormander in 1998 as part of Japan's Beast Wars II toyline and was further redecoed to make Timelines Skalor in 2008, whose bio changed up his Targetmaster mode to a slimespray rifle. Skalor was reissued in 2010 in (more or less) his original colours.

Notes

[edit]
  • The name of this weapon seems like a misfired pun, as Skalor has a teammate who transforms into a crustacean.
