The announcer is a drone from the Cyberverse continuity family.

The announcers ensure that fans across Cybertron are kept informed regarding the events at matches of their favorite sporting competition: Cube, or the brilliant nature show, Alien Hunt!. Their vocabulary can sometimes be a little basic, however, especially when it comes to punctuation.

The announcer at the Cube World Championship between Iacon City and Polyhex kept the fans informed, both as the match started and as a spiked Cube, doctored by Starscream and corralled by Bumblebee, wreaked havoc. Cube

• The announcer's speech pattern makes it clear it's using the Cybertronian equivalent of optical character recognition, as it actually states out "question mark" and "exclamation point".
• The credits list the drone as simply Announcer.
