David J. Williams (born March 5, 1971) is an Anglo-American author and former video game developer. He is credited with the story concept for the Homeworld series, and wrote the science fiction spy thriller trilogy Autumn Rain.
In June 2012, Williams and his writing partner Mark S. Williams announced they would write two Transformers novels, picking up where Alex Irvine left off. The first book, Transformers: Retribution, was published in January 2014.
