David McDermott (born January 17, 1967 in Kansas City) worked on the 2001 Robots in Disguise cartoon as a creative producer for Fox Kids, and on Cybertron as a writer and was also heavily involved in fleshing out the original concept. He has been working for Hasbro Entertainment since 2003. His other writing credits include the 90s X-Men cartoon, Digimon, Spider-Man Unlimited, and an unproduced Captain America series.
