Death Valley, California is a desert in the western United States, and is the hottest and driest location on the continent. Due to its isolation and inhospitality to humans, it's a popular place for Decepticons to set up camp.

The Decepticons built their powerful Omega Wave Cannon cannon in Death Valley, from where they used it to destroy a human city. Hound, Jenny, and Tōru found the Decepticon base and managed to mind-control Starscream into destroying the Omega Wave Cannon. Full Throttle Scramble Power!

Death Valley served as the construction site for the Decepticons' Solar Scalpel launch tower. Scavenger and Smokescreen kept an eye on the Decepticons' activity, but failed to act in time before the Scalpel was launched. Fire & Ice

Hearts of Steel

Allied with the human Tobias Muldoon, Starscream's Decepticons constructed a giant factory in Death Valley in the mid-19th century. They used it to build the Astrotrain, which they planned to use to conquer New York City. Hearts of Steel #2 The cavalry was sent to attack the base and stop them, but when they arrived, the Decepticon train had already departed and the factory was abandoned. Hearts of Steel #3

Death Valley was the location of an abandoned human town, no longer found on any maps. Autobot cadets Jolt, Dune Runner and Rollbar were sent there on survival exercise, tasked with finding an energy pack in the town before running out of reserve power. Unfortunately for them, the monstrous Decepticon Dead End was stalking the area, intent on murdering the Autobots and taking their parts for himself. Spare Parts!
