Deceptor

Deceptor is an Autobot from the Generation 1 and Unicron Trilogy continuity families (via the Kronoform toyline).
"Psst, kid. I'm totally an Autobot. Go ahead and wear me. You'll forget I'm even there."

Deceptor is one of several Transformers who turn into wristwatches.

It is unknown if he retains his small size when in his non-watch modes. He has been described as a "time machine",<ref>Packaging description ("An incredible jet robot time machine!")</ref> but his specific abilities are unknown.

The Transformers Deceptor is a functional "5-Function" digital wristwatch (month, day, hour, minutes, seconds. Hell of a range there, huh?) from Takara’s US-retail Kronoform line, one of three pieces from the line co-branded (well, mainly branded) as Transformers merchandise. He transforms from a robot to a stumpy vaguely-sci-fi jet with a robotic bird-head as his nosecone, and has a third watch mode for when he is attached to the plastic watch-band.
His non-black parts came in at least three different colors; gray, blue, and chromed gold.

  • Yes, he's an Autobot. His packaging says so.
  • Speaking of his packaging, it uses exactly the same cross-sell on the back as Autoceptor's, showing the entire Kronoform line from 1984... except for Deceptor, amusingly enough.
  • A tan Deceptor is shown as part of the "Watchbot" sub-group in the Japanese Transformers First Series Complete guidebook. However, by all accounts Deceptor was never offered as part of the Japanese Transformers line in any capacity.
