Denise Metmer
Denise Metmer is a French actress specialized in dubbing.
She started as a local continuity announcer in the 1970s (as seen on the photo), before switching to dubbing. She is notably the regular French voice of Kathy Bates (she dubbed her in 35 films and series), and Lucy Lawless (she dubbed her in 8 series including Xena: Warrior Princess). She is also one of the voices of Margo Martindale, Katharina Thalbach and Amy Aquino.
In animation, her roles include Pearl Gesner in Home on the Range, Sakura and Lan in Urusei Yatsura, the old woman in Shrek and Wendi in Boss Baby: Back in Business.
Denise also follows the character of Kathryn Janeway in the Star Trek universe, dubbing her in the series Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Prodigy and in the Star Trek Prodigy : Supernova video game.

[edit]- Although she does not dub Arcee in the Five Faces of Darkness episodes and in Dark Awakening, it is unknown if Denise dubbed her in Ghost in the Machine, The Dweller in the Depths and Only Human since the original European French dubs of these episodes have been lost.
