Derek Connolly (born; 1976) is an American screenwriter and film producer. He is best known for his collaborations with Colin Trevorrow, where he has served as a writer for Safety Not Guaranteed, the Jurassic World trilogy, and the original draft of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker under its original title Duel of the Fates before Trevorrow's departure from the aforementioned project. Other films he has written are Monster Trucks, Kong: Skull Island, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, Deep Cover, and a feature film based on Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda.
Relevant to this wiki, he is attached as a screenwriter for a Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover film.[1][2]
