Desert City

Desert City is an enormous structure in Egypt<ref>Transformers: Energon Official Guidebook</ref> designed as an energon mining installation. It also serves as one of many bases on earth for the Autobots. Built into an expansive desert, it had a space bridge built in to it and also had housing quarters for human and Transformer alike.

Fiction

Desert City was among the targets under attack by Terrorcon raiders early in the Energon conflict. Hot Shot was briefly relocated there to take charge of the city's defense, and led a number of Autobots into battle against an attacking horde of Terrorcons supported by Scorponok and Tidal Wave. Some time later, it and the other mining cities were heavily fortified to protect them against further strikes. These measures, however, became redundant following the return of Megatron.

Desert City later became the site of one of Earth's four Energon towers, providing a lasting defense for the planet against any Decepticon or Terrorcon attack.
