Dirge is a Decepticon from the Aligned continuity family.

Dirge is a member of the Decepticon army who, like Thundercracker, strikes fear into his enemies using sound. If you're an Autobot, he wants you to know that you should be very very afraid of him, as enjoys the feeling of power he gets from watching other robots quaking in fear at his prescence.

Dirge left Cybertron aboard the Nemesis, serving as one of Starscream's elite Seekers. He and his Air Commander were sent by Megatron in advance to spring a trap set by the Star Seekers, rather than risk the Nemesis itself.

Later, Dirge and many Decepticons were captured by the Quintessons and placed on trial on the planet Aquatron. After Starscream abandoned them and Megatron was lost in the bowels of the city, Dirge led the Decepticons in escaping captivity alongside their Autobot counterparts. Retribution

Dirge is an unlockable character for the DS. He can be unlocked in mission 7 in the Decepticon campaign using a heavy character such as Megatron or Brawl in the last area near the Omega Key.

Dirge and a second Decepticon joined Megatron in assaulting a Autobot training facility. On their way through, Dirge saw fit to instruct his leader on some of the nuances of battle. When they encountered Jetfire, Dirge was blasted, and unable to aid Megatron in battle, but Jetfire was defeated anyhow. The pair were contacted by Soundwave a short time later, to let them know he'd located the Trypticon space station. Dirge was later at the training facility when Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Jetfire cleansed it of Decepticon invaders, and was himself defeated in battle by the Autobot leader. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (3DS)

Dirge appears in the Rise of the Dark Spark game for Nintendo 3DS as a support unit. Equipping him allows all Cybertron Decepticons to have their Edurance stats increased by 1.

  • Dirge is usable in both the Autobot and Decepticon versions of the War for Cybertron games for the DS. He is used only for multiplayer, bonus missions and Arena mode in the Autobot version and used in multiplayer, Arena mode, and campaign in the Decepticon version.
