Donavan is a human from the live-action film continuity family.

Sergeant Donavan is a member of Sector Seven. He's calm and authoritative in a crisis and doesn't put up with any hijinks from the men under his command.

Donavan was part of a mission to Castle Neuschwanstein to investigate the N.B.E. that the Nazis had gotten hold of. On the flight in, Donavan started to give another of his speeches, and had to stop Simmons from coming to blows with Corliss. The aircraft ran into a platoon of laser tanks which shot it down, resulting in the team having to bail out. After hitting the ground, Donavan found Lupton and then Simmons alive, shortly before Newcombe was killed by one of the tanks. The trio took shelter in a ditch where Donavan took advantage of the tank's lack of maneuverability to load his rocket launcher. His single shot successfully damaged the tank, exposing the driver, but the blowback from the launcher injured him severely enough that he told Simmons and Lupton to go on with the mission without him. Donavan's son Heath Donavan would follow his footsteps in becoming an agent of Sector Seven. Energon Is Forever

  • Sector Seven is remarkably progressive on racial issues - the mainstream U.S. military would not integrate for another four years, and a black officer leading white troops was unheard of at the time the story is set.
