Doonstown appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.

Grimlock ended up near Doonstown after his cybo-dendrons had burnt out. An Autobot team consisting of Sideswipe, Huffer and Bluestreak located and captured him without Doonstown even being aware of their presence, but then the Decepticons showed up with a mind-controlled Sludge. They sicced him on Grimlock, who broke free. The fight between the two Dinobots moved to and through Doonstown, turning the peaceful town into a warzone. The Autobots did try to stop them, but were taken out one by one as they got in the Dinobots' way. Doonstown was only spared further destruction and death due to the Dinobots falling of a cliff into a lake, where Autobot reinforcements eventually subdued them. Dinobot Hunt!
