Frédérique Hoschedé (b. July 14, 1953), known as Dorothée, is a French singer, actress and TV host.

True icon of French television in the 80s and 90s, she is particularly known for having hosted the children television shows Récré A2 between 1978 and 1987 then Club Dorothée from 1987 to 1997.

In addition to her TV presence, Dorothée has been very active in singing for children, having released 20 albums between 1980 and 2010 and having sold more than 17 million albums in France. Among her biggest hits are Allô, allô monsieur l'ordinateur, Hou la menteuse ! or Vive les vacances !. She also performed several songs for TV series, like the Smurfs in 1983, Sophie et Virginie or Rox et Rouky (The Fox and the Hound).

In 1984, George Lucas himself asked her to make a song about the Ewoks in order to promote The Ewok Adventure in France. She did it!.

She occasionally practiced voice acting, being the narrator in Wattoo Wattoo Super Bird and The Ewok Adventure, and Varicella the witch in The Garfield Show in 2013.
