Dropshot is one of the more intelligent Decepticons, though that's not saying much. Though he has a loathing for organic life forms, he seems willing enough to work with them. His armor is gunmetal grey with white streaks, and his voice is harsh and metallic.

Dropshot, Bombshock, and Tracer were supplied with new weapons by a shadowy group of humans, and sent to assault the Nevada Test and Training Range. Dropshot assumed the leadership role and kept in radio contact with a local human observer, Simon Clay throughout. When they were attacked by F-22s, Dropshot was pleased with the effectiveness of his weapons systems in destroying one of them. He and the other Decepticons began fighting a bunch of humans in APCs and kicking over their guard shacks. When Optimus Prime and Ironhide turned up, Dropshot complained to Clay that they'd been told there wouldn't be any Autobots there. Dropshot found himself facing Optimus himself. While they struggled, Optimus appealed to Dropshot to renounce Megatron, but Dropshot responded by aiming his cannon at a group of human soldiers, so Prime stabbed him through the chest.
