Dykayra

Dykayra is a remote planet covered in vast forests of towering mushrooms. Poking up here and there amongst the fungi are the ruins of an ancient civilization, now long gone.
Fiction
[edit]2005 IDW continuity
[edit]Learning that the ruins on Dykayra were built by the same race that constructed the strange catacombs deep beneath Gorlam Prime's surface, Galvatron had them searched for any connection to the Dead Universe and the D-Void. His scout party found the bodies of several Autobots killed by unknown means, but Galvatron's Heart of Darkness couldn't resuscitate them, something he blamed on the D-Void having influence over the planet. When they entered the ruins, they discovered a portal to the Dead Universe and a resurrected Nemesis Prime. Heart of Darkness #3
A battle broke out between Galvatron's scout party and Nemesis Prime, leading to the D-Void taking control of Nemesis and transforming his body into an monstrous avatar for itself. The fighting frightened some of Dykayra's local lifeforms, a kind of mushroom-deer. Galvatron tried to distract the D-Void's emissary by tricking it into blasting mushrooms, sending spore clouds everywhere and obstructing its vision, but the plan was unsuccessful. As Galvatron was on the verge of defeat, his main army arrived on Dykayra and managed to force the monster through the Dead Universe portal, which Galvatron then destroyed. Heart of Darkness #4
Spacewarp's Log
[edit]Spacewarp was hiding from Fracture on Dykayra when she encountered a cult of Cybertronians who venerated the "Ultimate Warrior" through ritual sacrifice. She managed to bluff her way out of a duel to the death, turning the cult against its leader, but bumped into Fracture's ship before she could get off-planet. Spacewarp's Log (1), 2015/10/28
Notes
[edit]- The name "Dykayra" appears to be derived from a slight misspelling of [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Dykarya|{{#if:||Dykarya}}]], a subkingdom of fungi.
