2005 IDW continuity

After devising a plan to overload the Functionist-corrupted Vector Sigma by opening a Matrix at all of Cybertron's hot spots, Velocity and Krok were sent to Eugenesis. As Velocity struggled to open her Matrix, the duo came under attack from a contingent of Functionaries before Rodimus's speech to the group allowed the Camien to overcome her doubts and open the Matrix, the energy travelling down to Vector Sigma with the eleven other pulses and killing the councillors. Notes

• "Eugenesis" obviously derives its name from James Roberts's famous fan-novel. The word is defined as "the quality or condition of having strong reproductive powers," which is very fitting for a hot spot.
