Eye-Goon is a member of the Science Alliance from BotBots.
Aaah! ...-ain't got no body and nobody cares for me. Yakka tak ta yakka tak ta ha!

Did you say Eye-Gore? Because that's wrong, It's pronounced Eye-Goon, and he is very particular about other Bots getting his name right! Any mad scientist-bot looking for his helping hands are going to have to learn to say his name correctly before he'll do anything for them, however, even if they do get his name right, it doesn't make him any better of a lab assistant. He frequently goofs up experiments and lacks the scope to be a truly effective assistant, but hey, help is help. It also doesn't help that he creeps out Dr. Flaskenstein with all his "master" talk.

Eye-Goon lived in the disused science store along with the rest of the Science Alliance, where they spent all day conducting experiments. Growing aware of the increasing heat in the mall, brought on by excessive partying, the squad were reluctant to come forth with their knowledge because they figured their lack of social graces would make presenting this information difficult, as would Eye-Goon's general creepiness. One day, as they were experimenting, a group of outsiders entered their store. Eye-Goon tried to confront them, and was rebuffed. The Lost Bots explained the situation, and figured that if the Science Alliance simply presented the cold hard facts to the other BotBots, they'd get their case across. This did not work, so the two Squads retreated to consider alternative options, such as presenting their data in lyrical form, Eye-Goon being eager to help with his knowledge of rhythmic percussion. Burgertron had his own idea of how to get the warning across, which the Science Alliance sensibly ignored. Their plan worked, and presenting the details on mall warning in sweet musical form swayed the other BotBots. As a result, the Science Alliance became cool and popular, and left to go attend a party with their fellows, leaving the Lost Bots behind. The Science Alliance

The Science Alliance were commissioned by Spud Muffin to invent the fun-o-meter, capable of scientifically determining just how fun a party was. They were unable to explain the mechanics before Spud shoved them off-stage. The Goldrush Games - Part the First

"He's really showing us what a man with a cannon in his chest can do!"
  • Science Alliance (5-pack, 2020)
  • Series: 4
  • Level: 1 Star
  • Known designers: Ken Christiansen (concept artist){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
Part of the fourth series of BotBots, Eye-Goon changes from a microscope into a robot with treads instead of legs.
Stock photography depicts him in a much darker shade of beige than the final toy. He would end up this color as well in his appearance in the BotBots cartoon. Additionally, his stock image is mistransformed as his head is not folded down to cover his face.
He is available in one of the "Science Alliance"-themed 5-packs, packed in with Doc Kit, Dr. Flaskenstein, Grandma Crinkles, and a blind-packed Lunchador.
This mold was also used to make Special Optics.

  • Wilderness Troop (8-pack, 2020)
  • Series: 4
  • Level: 1 Star
Eye-Goon is also available in one of the "Wilderness Troop"-themed 8-packs, along with Aday, Bretzel, Goggly Spy P.I., Grandma Crinkles, Ranger Lampton, Swapbox 16, and a blind-packed Windbag.
This pack is a "recommended minimum buy" for a complete set of Series 4 BotBots.

Notes

[edit]
Cartoon alternate mode
  • His insistence at how his name should be pronounced is a reference to Igor insisting that his name should be pronounced "Eye-Gore" in the Mel Brooks parody [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Young Frankenstein|{{#if:||Young Frankenstein}}]].
  • Every time Eye-Goon speaks or makes any kind of mouth-noise in the BotBots cartoon, he's accompanied by creepy, creepy music that cuts off as soon as he stops.
