- F-19 Vipers are aircraft from the Energon portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
The F-19 Viper is a type of fighter aircraft used by the Australian Air Force in the year 2015. They're armed with nose-mounted guns and Omega Sidewinder missiles, both of which are completely powerless against Transformers.
Fiction
[edit]Energon comic
[edit]When Scorponok's Terrorcons tore up an Alterenergy drilling site in western Australia, the Air Force reacted by launching several Vipers from their bases in Bonnie Rock and Southern Cross. Their missiles didn't put a scratch on the aliens, who wasted no time in blowing every single plane out of the sky. Thankfully all the pilots survived, managing to bail out just before their Vipers were totalled. What Lies Beneath
Notes
[edit]- In real life, the F-19 designation has never been applied to a fighter plane. The F-19 Viper is seemingly modelled after the existing F-22 Raptor, while the name "Viper" is a nickname-that-has-become-all-but-official for the F-16.
