Felix and his cohort Skunge were considered the best bounty hunters in Nevada. Felix was known for his technological savvy, and after using a laser microphone to help hunt down wanted men in a hotel, the local law enforcement pointed Felix and Skunge to a poster from the Z Foundation offering $50,000 for the capture of any Transformer. Felix and Skunge decided to relocate to New York City to take them up on it. Once there, they met with two other bounty-hunters who had agreed to track down Cybertronians: Burn-Out and Randy Horton. The group, dubbed the "Road-Jammers" by their new employers, were given jammers to incapacitate their prey and sent off to the Shawungunk Mountains. The Z foundation's directions led the Road-Jammers directly to a trio of Autobots, freshly arrived from Cybertron. Felix became the de facto leader of the group, coordinating their efforts as the other three successfully captured Backstreet, Sizzle, and Fizzle. When Burn-Out reported the latter had claimed that the bounty-hunters were being duped by the Decepticons, Felix saw an opportunity to earn even more money. He began fiddling about with the jammers, successfully modifying them so that each could paralyze two robots at once.

The group broke into the Z Foundation's garage, where they found confirmation that the Decepticons were in cahoots with the company: three headless Decepticons, slouched in one of the garage's corners. Those who had hired the bounty-hunters, Mr. K, Mr. B and Mr. L, revealed their true nature as Headmasters and combined with the bodies to form Fangry, Horri-Bull, and Squeezeplay. Unperturbed, Felix paralyzed all three of them with the jammers. The secretive head of the corporation, Mr. Z, then made an appearance. Revealing that he too was a closet Decepticon, he summoned the mighty Scorponok to dispose of the Road-Jammers once and for all. At this time, Felix revealed that the modifications he had done to the jammers were even more extensive than he had initially let on; he could override the motor-functions of all robots ensnared by their power. Scorponok was soon overwhelmed by the six Transformers under Felix's control, forcing Mr. Z to activate an anti-jammer. As soon as the Autobots regained control of themselves, they picked up the Road-Jammers and peeled away. Once the humans were out of harm's way, Backstreet declared he and his teammates didn't want anything more to do with them, and drove off. Afterwards, Felix revealed something else to Skunge and the others: he had managed to construct another jammer from scratch while working with the ones the Decepticons had provided them. Armed with this device, the Road-Jammers were eager to continue their pursuit of Transformers for money. Ca$h and Car-nage!
