Curious as to why nobody has pointed out that it looks like Enemy's solitary appearance in the G1 cartoon? Chrusher (talk) 18:52, 7 May 2019 (EDT)

Probably because none of them look anything like Enemy. --M Sipher (talk) 19:52, 7 May 2019 (EDT)

Really? This cassetticon animation model with his same color scheme? Chrusher (talk) 02:37, 8 May 2019 (EDT)

Yes, really. That's not the same color scheme, and we don't need a screen-length screengrab. --M Sipher (talk) 03:09, 8 May 2019 (EDT)
AND a quick check shows that you've tried this before, and nobody agreed with you then. That's not gonna change. --M Sipher (talk) 03:13, 8 May 2019 (EDT)

Sorry about the size of the screen grab, as it wasn't intentional (I'm used to things such as basic html and so on but Wiki codes are wonky to me). But who is this secret cabal of people who have decreed that it isn't even remotely close and shut down all discussion on the subject? Same body mold, and orange/red and blue in the same exact body parts? I own both the Encore and the Masterpiece, and damn if it didn't look closer in person than even the stock photos used on the site.

I really don't care whether anybody agreed or disagreed with me personally, but I find it hard to believe that I'm the only person on planet earth that thought that is the same color scheme as Enemy, especially considering they used Diaclone/Microcange color schemes on the show AND he even had two toys out at the time -- the voice changer and the radio. Obviously the haphazard coloring of the show made for oddities, and whether it was intentional or not, it definitely has a similarity. In fact, that's even closer than Thundercracker's G1 toy color scheme, which was so muted in the cartoon that they had to make lighter Masterpieces.

And finally, it's a little unsettling to me that you act like this is an affront to the TFWiki to even entertain the thought, gather evidence and get opinions? Isn't that what Wiki's are supposed to do? Your condescending terseness makes me feel like attempting to add something entertaining and worthwhile to the discussion is being treated as trollish vandalism. It's simply a thought, and I felt a good one. Sorry if you don't agree. Chrusher (talk) 05:25, 8 May 2019 (EDT)

You act as if Enemy was intended to be a real character back when those two toys were released. These are randomly colored generics, nothing more. Escargon (talk) 08:34, 8 May 2019 (EDT)
Randomly colored generics who weren't colored like Enemy. That's also important. --ItsWalky (talk) 08:41, 8 May 2019 (EDT)
Sunstorm? Acid Storm? Hauler? Yes, these and more were randomly colored generics that HasTak retconned with names and gave toys. Obviously Enemy is based after a retconned Diaclone/MicroChange figure like Tigertrack, Clampdown, Road Rage and so on, and of course it's a coincidence, but those are the colors. Do you guys even have an Enemy figure? The MicroChange figure he's based on (as well as the Radio and voice changer) were indeed all a deeper red (I don't own THAT particular toy, but based on pics). However, his Encore presentation as well as his Masterpiece figure (both of which I own) are closer to orange than red. Just put them side-by-side. The stock photo on the TFWiki isn't 100% accurate to the actual toy it seems. I was caught off-guard when I got them because in pics on this website (and elsewhere) he looks very red. I wouldn't be surprised if Takara did this because of that cartoon generic. Not saying that is the case, but they've done it before. But anyways, thanks for listening at least, guys. I just like these little G1 easter eggs and retcons, and this place is a great one to discuss them. Chrusher (talk) 02:44, 10 May 2019 (EDT)
